Behind the Glass
{Branding}
Brief
For this project, we were to design for a restaurant that we ourselves created. I created a seafood magic parlor called Behind the Glass established in 1927. The name stands for the idea of a mystery as well as a fish behind glass in a bowl. The magic parlor is located in New York City, which serves upscale seafood. It offers each guest an amazing experience from magic acts to card readings.
Solutions
For the design, I was greatly inspired by The Great Gatsby and 20s style line art. The color palette is dark and neutral to match the elegance of the restaurant. I incorporated textured black paper and foil lettering to give a high-street feel. To tie in the magic aspect of the business, I made the business cards in the shape of crystal balls and made sure to use iconography throughout the pieces to give an enchanting experience.
